Blood and Sand Exhibition at Tepui
Blood and Sand, a large format exhibition by Colombian photographer and Phnom Penh resident Erika Piñeros, opens at Tepui on Apr. 26.
The photographs document bullfighting in Colombia, a spectacle which has survived and evolved over the centuries to become an important part of the country’s culture. With public opinion growing restless as animal rights concerns come more to the fore, this controversial contest, and its particular breed of cattle – toro de lidia – are now under threat.
The exhibition opens on Friday Apr. 26 with drinks and canapés from 6-8pm, and runs until Jun. 30
