Cambodian Children Prepare for Rugby Festival
Budding young rugby players will be battling it out on the pitch for Kampuchea Balopp’s Enfants D’Asie Youth Rugby Tournament.
On Sunday, Jul. 13, the KB All Sports Field will be brought to life with the game between 7.30am and 10am as youngsters from seven NGOs take to the pitch for the fun but competitive rugby festival.
The under 9, under 11 and under 13 age groups will take part in the tournament, with NGOs taking part including ENFANTS d’Asie Aspeca and Mith Samlanh.
It is the first time the Enfants D’Asie (Aspeca) will fund its own rugby tournament, with the support of the Robert Abdesselam Foundation, and they are hoping to make it an annual event.
All children taking part will be provided with water and snacks as well as a T-shirt. Each winning team will also be awarded a trophy.
The tournament is free and open to all spectators.
KB All Sports Field is on the corner of Samdach Hun Sen Street, opposite the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
