Canadian International School’s Elementary Campus Opens

Centrally located on Diamond Island, The Canadian International School of Phnom Penh (CIS) is a fully-accredited international school that offers students a universally accepted diploma with competitively priced tuition fees. Students can enjoy a brand new purpose-built facility that includes classrooms equipped with interactive white boards, iPads, laptops, two large playgrounds, a covered soccer pitch, a covered basketball court, a track, and a unique library.

The CIS preschool programme begins for students at 18-months-old and continues until they are four. CIS currently offers academic programming for students up to grade 6 with a goal of nurturing innovative and creative students through inquiry-based learning. Students are taught to analyse scenarios, solve problems, and create new knowledge and understandings. CIS will add new grades each year until they celebrate their first graduating class.

With a curriculum taught in English, students have the choice of learning French, Khmer or Mandarin each day as well. CIS also has a French immersion programme, which begins with an intensive period of French language development and ultimately offer graduates a gateway to international opportunities with a competitive edge. Furthermore, a wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered that include a number of sports, music, further language learning, drama, cultural activities and more.

CIS is opening a new preschool campus in August at Sunway Tuol Kork.
