#IAmOriginal Hosts Truck Music Festival

This weekend the non-profit music foundation #IAmOriginal is putting on their first-ever music festival to celebrate and promote up-and-coming Cambodian musical talent.

Truck Music Festival, a new music platform in Cambodia, will not only feature special performances from established artists but it will also showcase new talent from young songwriters, music producers in the Rising Star category. The event will also feature food and drink stands, art showcases, and game booths to enjoy during the festival.

50% profits from ticket sales to will be donated to Music Sponsorship Program (MSP) which is organised by #IAmOiginal which provides training and financial support to junior artists who are passionate about developing their talents. All young artists will be mentored by senior music experts. The young musicians will have the opportunity to learn songwriting, music production, as well as vocal and instrumental techniques.

Kong Soklin, #IAmOriginal spokesperson says, “#IAmOriginal team guarantees that Truck Music Festival will bring the most exciting music festival for everyone and it is also a platform for original artists to express themselves.”

Truck Music Festival champions the creation and production of original music in Cambodia. The event aims to the encourage the local music scene, give young Khmer musicians a chance to develop their skills and help inspire young Cambodian music lovers to engage with new and original homegrown talent.
