Mobile Banking at Maybank
Maybank Cambodia has launched a new mobile banking application. A revolutionary offering within Cambodia, Maybank Mobile Banking integrates augmented reality and a QR code reader, bringing innovative technology to the Kingdom. Maybank customers can now enjoy a whole new way of banking where customer experience tops the list of priorities.
“The introduction of our mobile banking app reinforces our commitment of putting our customers’ preference first and [delivering] next-generation customer experience. It also reaffirms the Bank’s determination to build its digital banking presence and meet the fast evolving demands of customers, especially the younger generation,” says Datuk Lim Hong Tat, Group Head of Community Financial Services.
Using the app, Maybank customers can check their balance, debit card purchases, and perform simple transactions anytime. In addition, the app provides the added convenience of sending money to a mobile number; the cash can then be withdrawn from any Maybank ATM without having to use an ATM card. The app also offers the Augmented Reality locator tool, which detects the nearest branch or ATM and provides on screen directions to the customer.
“Maybank [aims to] enhance the digital banking experience to meet our clients’ changing expectations. Digital banking channels not only offer convenience but also security,” says Cynthia Liaw, CEO of Maybank Cambodia. “This Mobile Banking app is only one of the many plans we have for Cambodia and a part of our end-to- end integrated Omni-Channel strategy.”
Liaw adds that Maybank plans to introduce more online services in Cambodia to further simplify banking and boost operational efficiency. The launch of its mobile banking app in Cambodia is in line with efforts to make Maybank the digital bank of choice in the country.
