Mooncake Festival at NagaWorld
NagaWorld is marking the lunar Mid-Autumn Festival with a specially-carved collection of mini mooncakes for diners to enjoy.
The hotel’s Fortune Palace has been putting the finishing touches to its Mini Snowy Mooncakes ahead of their release. Each is filled with a range of modern flavours, such as Black Sesame, Tiramisu, Chocolate and Strawberry, along with traditional White Lotus, Black Sesame, Pandan and Durian golden baked mooncakes.
Also known as the Moon Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated every year on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month (which this year falls on Sept. 8), when the moon is the brightest, roundest and fullest it will reach throughout the year.
Deeply rooted in Chinese culture, the festival originates from moon worship to express gratitude for a bumper harvest. Today, it remains a special occasion to gather with family and friends, sharing mooncakes under the glow of a full moon.
In honour of these traditions, Chef Billy Leong, a master chef in dim sum from Fortune Palace, has concocted the exquisite treats to help celebrate the occasion.
All mooncakes are available at Fortune Palace, NagaWorld Level 1 until Sep. 8, daily from 11am to 10pm. For more information, phone 023 228 822 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
