Rosewood Hotel to Open Mid-2017

Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has revealed it will open its doors at Vattanac Tower in Phnom Penh in the second quarter of the year.

Rosewood Phnom Penh will join the upcoming network of Rosewood ultra-luxurious hotels in the region that will also include Phuket, Sanya, Luang Prabang, Hong Kong, Bali, Guangzhou and Jakarta.

The hotel will occupy the top 14 floors, with dedicated high-speed elevator access, in the 188-meter-high, 39-storey Vattanac Capital Tower One. Prominently located in the heart of the capital’s central business district along Monivong Boulevard, this world-class commercial complex will also include Grade-A offices and Cambodia’s first luxury retail mall.

Rosewood Phnom Penh will offer a panoramic view of the city and the fabled Mekong River from its position within the tallest building in the capital, whose architectural form takes the fluid shape of a rising dragon oriented towards the East. The Royal Palace, National Museum, Central Market and Phnom Penh’s other most fascinating historic landmarks will be within easy reach.

“Rosewood Phnom Penh was envisioned as an unconventional haven and a distinctive hotel encounter. We will present sophisticated guests with the ease they feel at home, yet also a place where they can craft their own journey to experience the authentic and unexpected Phnom Penh,” said Daniel Grau, managing director of Rosewood Phnom Penh.

The 175-room hotel have some of the largest hotel guestrooms in Phnom Penh. Dining options will include the 120-seat Brasserie Louis; 60-seat Living Room; Iza, an izakaya-style dining space for lunch and dinner; Cuts, the high-energy steak and seafood restaurant with panoramic views for lunch and dinner; and Sora, a sky bar on a cantilevered terrace. Recreational facilities will feature Sense, a Rosewood Spa with six treatment rooms, a nail studio, a 20-meter swimming pool on the 33rd floor and a fully equipped fitness centre.

Meeting facilities will include The Pavilion residential-style meeting and function space and multi-functional meeting rooms.

Guided by Rosewood’s A Sense of Place philosophy, the property’s interior is designed by Melbourne-based BAR Studio for the public areas and guestrooms together with Japan-based Bond Design Studio for the food and beverage spaces.

“In line with the hotel’s opening, there are more than 200 positions available across all hotel departments at Rosewood Phnom Penh, which include rooms, food and beverage, finance, engineering, sales and marketing, spa and culinary. We offer an opportunity to build an accomplished career as a hospitality professional with Rosewood Hotel Group, one of the world’s fastest growing hotel companies. The group encompasses 55 hotels in 18 countries across multiple brands and opens the door to a world of exceptional career paths.” added Grau.
