Wild Dreams For Phnom Penh Party Planners

Dust down your dancing shoes and get your glad rags on because Phnom Penh is gearing up to host what promises to be one of the biggest parties to date in the form of W.I.L.D on Feb. 1.

Boasting eight DJs and two dancefloors the party will breath new life into the former Riverside Hotel, which has laid derelict on the riverside for the last few years. Spread across two rooms, the event, organised by new Phnom Penh party planners Dream Injection, brings together the cream of the capital’s DJing crop, including Kimchi Collective, Si C Vent, Dr Wah Wah, Alan Ritchie and Funkelastiks, who will be spinning music crossing a range of genres. Legendary Belgian DJ, Ricardo, will also be making an appearance.

The hotel’s former club will play host to a techno floor, with decor to recreate an underground Berlin party feel. The hotel lobby is home to the event’s main dancefloor, which will feature techno music, deep house and Chicago house.

Extravagant decor and entertainment pledges to keep guests entertained until the final DJ spins the last track at 6am. But for those who don’t want the party to end, the fun will continue with the venue remaining open into the afternoon for those wanting to spend their Sunday chilling.

Selim Sinai Latrous, one of the organisers, says, “We want to create a new clubbing scene for Cambodia. We want to put on huge parties that people will remember in unusual and unique venues across Phnom Penh.”

And the crew will be pulling out all of the stops in the entertainment stakes, with three bars, smoke machines, a top sound system and light show, staff dressed up as a host of crazy characters and a few surprises along the way.

This will be the first of what Dream Injection hope will be many successful parties, helping to further plant Phnom Penh on the clubbing map.

It takes place on Feb. 1 at Riverside Hotel, Sisowath Quay. Entry is free from 10pm to 11pm. Entry is $4 after, including one drink.
