The British Business Group Vietnam held its 14th Annual Fun Run for Charity on Sunday 28 September. Over 10,000 people took part in the event, exceeding BBGV’s expected numbers. British International School was one of the largest groups participating in this event, with over 650 students, families and staff pulling on their running shoes. Two BIS students, Year 8 student Bailey Miller ans Year 10 student Toby Holmes, were the first teenagers across the finish line, both of whom were very excited to collect their prizes from HM Ambassador Giles Lever, HM Consul General Douglas Barnes and BBGV Chairman Nick Holder. In addition to their medals and certificates, they also each received a Tissot watch.

Since the first Fun Run in 2000, the BBGV has raised 7 billion VND to benefit charities in Vietnam with 55,000 people taking part. Last year, the BBGV raised 750 million VND for the charity fund with 8,500 runners.  BIS continues to be an ardent supporter of this charity event.
