British Vietnamese International School HCMC
The BIS Group of Schools has created a new educational model which is reproducing the same high quality international education standard as the well-established BIS. However, fully integrated within the curriculum is the deliberate nurturing and safeguarding of the Vietnamese language, culture and heritage. The British Vietnamese International School (BVIS) is the first in Vietnam to offer the ‘Best of Both Worlds”. BVIS HCMC is a state of the art, purpose-built school which opened in August 2011 in Binh Chanh, HCMC.
The school is the first of its kind in HCMC to offer a dual-language, integrated curriculum modelled on the National Curriculum for England, whilst committing to nurturing and celebrating Vietnamese language and culture. Students reach high literacy levels in both English and Vietnamese by the end of primary school before gradually increasing exposure to English. Secondary school courses lead to Cambridge University IGCSE and A Level examinations. The mission of BVIS is to ensure that all students become responsible global citizens with a world vision, from a Vietnamese perspective.
