International School Saigon Pearl – Elementary School
The International School Saigon Pearl (ISSP) is the only international school offering a U.S. curriculum for children aged 18 months to 11 years old in Ho Chi Minh City.
With over 300 students representing more than 20 nationalities, ISSP has a strong focus on building English language proficiency in every child. All students enjoy specialist library lessons, a free Summer Reading Program, and learning within a 100% English language environment. English language support is available for non-native speakers through an extensive English as an Additional Language (EAL) Program.
ISSP is the first and only international school in HCMC to offer Specialist Early Years Programs from 18 months old, including weekly swimming, music, dance, library and visual arts. In Elementary, students study the rigorous American Education Reaches Out (AERO) curriculum to ensure their learning across math, science, music, language arts and social studies is benchmarked against U.S. national standards, providing a seamless transition into the world-class ISHCMC or ISHCMC – American Academy secondary schools. Over 60% of ISSP students achieve above grade level English, and over 75% of students achieve above grade level Math in their U.S. standardized MAP® tests.
At ISSP, learning and over 25 after school activities take place in outstanding Elementary facilities, including a library containing over 13,500 English books, an on-site swimming pool, dance studio, sports field, indoor soft play gym, outdoor play areas, state-of-the-art ICT lab and specialist music, Mandarin, and Vietnamese classrooms.
