Regents International School Pattaya new Scholarship Programme

Regents International School Pattaya, the British international day and boarding school located on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand, has announced the launch of its new scholarship programme , with awards worth up to 100% of the boarding and tuition fees. To the delight of golf enthusiasts, the programme includes golf scholarships for students who can demonstrate a commitment to both their sport and their academic studies.

The new scholarships will form one part of a wider Golf Programme which the school will introduce to students in 2016. The Programme is being steered by Paul McConnell, Deputy Head of the Secondary School at Regents. Leadership by a senior member of the academic staff is no accident: Regents is looking for applicants who value high quality learning as much as they do golfing excellence.

One aspect of the programme which the school is particularly keen to develop is the link between academic studies, golf coaching and living on campus. As a boarding school, Regents is able to care for students between the ages of 7 and 19 for 24 hours a day in its two purpose-built boarding houses. Living on campus for anything between one and seven nights per week creates unique opportunities for those students who want to work hard and play hard.

Paul McConnell explained: “Parents need the reassurance of knowing that their son or daughter is achieving a healthy balance between their school work and their golf. If a student chooses to live in our boarding house for even one night per week, we can offer them after-school practice at a high-quality range, homework support by fully-qualified teachers, breakfast and dinner, and a home staffed by caring professionals.”
