Beervana Releases Deschutes Beer in Bangkok
Beervana is bringing one of America’s legendary craft brewers to Thailand in June. Bangkok’s leading curators of fine craft beers will release Deschutes Brewery beer to the Thai public in a two-part event on Jun. 8, a pairing dinner followed by the official release party.
From 4pm to 7pm diners can join Deschutes founder, Gary Fish, for an intimate pairing dinner hosted by Bangkok restaurateur, Billy Marinelli at the Oyster Bar. The menu will feature sustainably harvested seafood with Deschutes beers. Tickets are Baht 800, and seating is limited.
Then from 7pm to late, Beervana In conjunction with Duck & Noodle present Rediscover Beer, the official Deschutes release party. This will involve free beer sets, live performances by Plastic Section and Helmetheads, free canape between 7pm and 8.30pm, games, prizes and ceaseless supply of Deschutes beer. The party will be hosted by Hemingway’s in Sukhumvit Soi 14, just steps from the Asok BTS. Admission is free and open to the beer loving public.
Just 25 years old, Deschutes Brewery is one of America’s top five craft brewers, with some of the most celebrated and decorated craft beers in the world, including the World’s Best Beer in the World Beer Awards last year. Demand is so great in the western United States, that Deschutes can not even supply the eastern states. Yet Beervana will be the first to carry these coveted ales outside of North America.
“Deschutes is not a flashy beer, it’s not brewed for shock value or hype,” says Beervana’s founder, Aaron Grieser. “It’s a beer lover’s beer. Each beer is brewed to make you come back for more.”
