Ciao Italian Restaurant, Mandarin Oriental

Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok has transformed its 25-year-old Ciao Italian Restaurant into an innovative and stylish riverside venue, dedicated to fine Italian dining in a contemporary style.

Set against the historic façade of the Authors’ Wing of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok amongst lush tropical gardens and located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, Ciao offers three dining options: an a la carte restaurant, a bar serving Spuntino (Italian style tapas), and the Chef’s Table housed in an air-conditioned space where a set menu with wine pairings is cooked and served by chef Luca Casini. For the Chef’s Table, advance reservation is required – maximum of eight.

Casini has selected the freshest ingredients including the finest meats and charcuterie from Italy as well as local products from the Royal Projects in Thailand. Menu options include bruschetta con stracchino (ruschetta with fresh stracchino cheese, olive oil and black pepper), garganelli fatti In casa con pesto alla rucola E crema di carote (garganelli pasta with rocket pesto and carrot puré), coda di bue alla vaccinara (braised oxtail vaccinara with lentil stew) and many more.

Dining at Ciao is complemented by some of the finest wines in town with emphasis on Piedmont wines and a specially selected choice of sparkling prosecco and signature cocktails.

Open from 5pm to 11pm daily.
