Entries flow in for 2016 Multihull Solutions Whitsunday Rendezvous
Multihull enthusiasts have wasted no time registering for the fifth Multihull Solutions Rendezvous with entries flooding in for the 2016 event.
Plenty of past participants as well as a wave of new entrants have already signed up to join the famous Whitsunday social regatta from 5-11 September.
Designed exclusively for power and sail multihulls, the Multihull Solutions Rendezvous comprises a week of unforgettable cruising amongst the spectacular waterways of the Whitsunday islands as well as a jam-packed calendar of social events.
Participants are welcome to cruise aboard their own multihull or can charter a vessel for the event from one of the many Whitsunday companies. Singles are also welcome to join in the fun with places available aboard the Multihull Solutions mothership catamaran.
The 2016 Multihull Solutions Rendezvous launches on 5 September with a Welcome function and Briefing at Sorrento’s Restauarant at Abell Point Marina where crews can mingle over canapes and drinks.
A sensational week of cruising follows with stops at some of the Whitsundays’ most picturesque anchorages and beaches, where participants can fish, snorkel, bushwalk, battle it out in competitive beach games, and simply relax on the silica white sands.
Multihull Solutions will again stage an unforgettable lineup of social functions including a themed dinner at Cape Gloucester Eco Resort and a 1920s Gangsters and Flappers event on the final night on Hamilton Island Yacht Club’s famous Keel Deck. The event’s Prawn and Punch Party on Whitehaven Beach and hilarious Figurehead competition will also return due to popular demand.
Entrants can win a swag of prizes throughout the week from the Rendezvous’ sponsors, including designer stainless steel artwork by Mojo Creations, a free lift from the team at The Boat Works, accommodation vouchers, magazine subscriptions, free berthing from Abell Point Marina and more.
