La Spinetta Wine Dinner with Michelin Star Chef Alfredo Russo at Rossini’s

Discerning diners can experience a truly memorable evening of fine wines and the Michelin star cuisine of Chef Alfredo Russo in the enchanting surroundings of the award-winning Rossini’s. Guests at the dinner can also take part in a wine auction as part of the “UNICEF Fund Raising Events 2013”. Chef Alfredo, the culinary tour de force behind the internationally acclaimed Michelin star restaurant, Il Dolce Stil Novo in Turin will present a sublime dinner menu created especially to complement La Spinetta wines.

Founded in 1977, La Spinetta is a youthful winery that quickly established a reputation for excellence. Its wines are made from indigenous grape varieties grown at four estates in Piedmont and Tuscany. In the cellar, technology and innovation meet the experience and passion needed to create wines that reflect the vineyards unique terroir.

At Rossini’s special La Spinetta Wine Dinner, diners will be welcomed with aperitifs and savory bites and Contratto Millesimato Brut, a light and sparkling blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from Piedmont.

Chef Alfredo’s first dish will be his delicious seared shrimp with fava beans and potato with sage chips served with La Spinetta Chardonnay Lidia 2008, an elegant and balanced wine with smoky aromas and spiced green pepper on the palette. The second dish of the evening will be salad with eggplant, coriander seeds, mascarpone and basil. The creative salad will be perfectly complemented by the engaging herbal and mineral notes of La Spinetta Barbera d’Asti Superiore Bionzo DOCG 2009. Diners can also savor risotto with candied tomatoes, oregano and mozzarella cheese matched with La Spinetta Pin Monferrato Rosso DOC 2009, and succulent fillet of beef with caramelized onions and dark beer sauce served with La Spinetta Barolo Campe DOCG 2006, a wine awarded 95 points by Robert Parker and described asone of the most elegant wines I have ever tasted from La Spinetta”. The unforgettable evening of Michelin star dining will end with Chef Alfredo’s sublime peach soup with amaretto cream, cocoa and rum jelly and La Spinetta Moscato d’Asti Bricco Quagrlia 2011, a fresh, delicately sweet wine with complementary flavor of peach and honey.

During La Spinetta Wine Dinner, guests can also bid for outstanding wines in a fun auction and make an important contribution to “UNICEF Fund Raising Events 2013”. UNICEF is the world’s leading children’s charity dedicated to protecting the health, education and rights of children and young people.
