Mandarin Oriental Appoints Bauder as Hotel Manager
The Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok has appointed Marcus Bauder as Hotel Manager. The German holds a hotel management degree from a hotel school in his native country as well as several certificates from Cornell University, Ithaca, US.
He started his career as an apprentice at Hotel Breidenbacher Hof in Germany before joining the Jebel Ali Hotel & Golf Resort and Burj Al Arab in Dubai and the Corinthia Hotels in Libya and Prague.
He has served as Director of F&B at the Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel in Taipei and Resident Manager for the opening of the Shangri-La Tokyo. His most recent position prior to joining Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok was Hotel Manager at China World Hotel in Beijing.
He also spent three months at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore assisting as Resident Manager looking after Food & Beverage.
