Mandarin Oriental Bangkok to Stage Bangkok Chefs Charity Gala Dinner
A total of 26 Executive Chefs from 25 leading hotels in Thailand and Thai Airways International, will contest the 2013 Bangkok Chefs Charity Gala Dinner on Jul. 17 in the Royal Ballroom of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok from 6pm.
The staging of the fifth annual Bangkok Chefs Charity Gala Dinner was announced by Gourmet One, led by Nuntiya and Patcharin Hame-ung-Gull, a press conference held at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok recently.
The 2013 culinary gala will once again be presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn with proceeds going towards Border Patrol Police Schools under Her Royal Highness’s Patronage as well as underprivileged children in the remote Amphur Omkoy in Northern Thailand.
The annual talk-of-the-town, gastronomic fete was initiated in 2009 by General Managers Nuntiya and Patcharin Hame-ung-gull of Gourmet One, importer and supplier of fine foods. In 2012, the benefit gala dinner collected a total of Baht 12 million – with Baht 10 million presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and the remaining going towards repairing of underprivileged schools in Omkoy district in Chiang Mai.
This year, Siam Winery will pair with each dish from the 10-course dinner, a host of premium and award-winning wines from the company’s World of Wines portfolio in addition to the locally produced and bottled Monsoon Valley wines.
Emcee for the gala evening will be the popular actor Shahkrit Yamnarm.
