World-renowned three-star Michelin chef Michel Roux, is staging his famed culinary skills at Le Normandie, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, from Jan. 14 to 19.
Widely regarded as one of France’s finest chefs, Michel Roux is Global Ambassador of The Waterside Inn in Bray, Berkshire. Born in Charolles, Saône-et-Loire, Roux followed his elder brother Albert to become a chef at Cecile de Rothschild in Paris where he was eventually promoted to head chef in 1962.
After his stint with the Rothschilds, Michel followed Albert to London where they opened their first restaurant, Le Gavroche, in 1967. It was the first restaurant in Britain to gain three Michelin stars. They opened the Waterside Inn at Bray, Berkshire in 1972.
