Michelin Chef Thierry Marx Guests at Mandarin Oriental
Two-star Michelin Chef Thierry Marx will be the guest chef of Lord Jim’s at The Mandarin Oriental from Apr. 29 to May 4. The founder of Sur Mesure Restaurant in the Mandarin Oriental, Paris, Marx is regarded as the world’s leading exponent of “planetary cooking” and one of France’s most innovative experimentalist chefs.
With his “modern alchemist” approach to innovative cooking, Marx draws inspiration from France and Asia. A Buddhist, a black belt Judo teacher and Jujitsu aficionado, he has attained cult status as a pioneer of molecular gastronomy. Experiments with cryonics, freeze-drying and more have seen him push the boundaries of his art form while creating wondrous dishes across Europe, Asia and Australia.
A five-course dinner set meal will cost B4,943 net, and a seven-course special Wine Dinner with Californian wine will cost B7,279 net. There will also be some signature dishes available a la carte.
