Monsoon Valley Wines 10th Anniversary
Hua Hin Hills Vineyard, the first and only vineyard in Prachuab Khirikhan province and the home of Monsoon Valley wines, is celebrating the tenth anniversary of Monsoon Valley Wines on Jan. 25 and 26.
The series of activities will kick off with a wine dinner held on Jan. 25 from 6.30pm to 10pm with a five-course meal designed by chef Vichit Mukura from Mandarin Oriental Hotel Bangkok. Starting with fried tiger prawn flavoured with herbed crispy red jasmine rice sparkling lime rind and tamarind sauce, the second course will feature spicy garoupa soup served with jasmine rice and the third course will present snow fish with rice milk. The fourth will be grilled lamb chop with tamarind sauce. The feast will finish with red jasmine rice ice cream, mung bean marzipan, steamed tapioca cake and sticky rice flour dumpling.
This five-course menu is priced at B1,800 baht per person or B1,600 for members, and as there is a maximum of 50, reservations early are strongly advised.
In addition, chef Vichit has prepared a set lunch menu for Jan. 26 from 11am to 3pm with a three-course meal consisting of Siamese rice vermicelli with kaffir lime curry sauce accompanied with fried prawn, followed by stir-fried crab meat with black pepper sauce and glass noodle, and a final dish with a dessert menu sweetened millet porridge with longan and coconut sticky rice with mango.
The 3-course lunch menu is priced at B690 net excluding wine, or B990 with wine, and also limited to only 50 guests.
