Apple to officially distribute iPhones in Vietnam
Apple will officially distribute in Vietnam beginning 14 November, when FPT Retail becomes Apple’s sole distributor of the iPhone in Vietnam, according to a source close to Tuoi Tre. Currently, Apple products are available only through traders, contracted partners or authorised resellers, but the iPhone will be the first to be officially distributed from Apple via a retailer in the country. It is uncertain if iPhone prices or warranty at each FPT Retail will reflect other regional Apple stores. However, Apple’s official distribution comes at a time when iPhone sales in Vietnam have already soared 262 percent in Apple’s fiscal first half of the year – its sales in the country are also predicted to increase 56 percent to about 12 million units, according to Bloomberg.
