Flappy Bird to return in “less addictive” format

Gamers will be pleased to hear that Flappy Bird, the wildly popular Nintendo-inspired creation of game developer Nguyen Ha Dong, is expected to return to app stores this August. In an interview with American news channel CNBC, the notoriously shy Dong said that Flappy Bird 2.0 will be “less addictive” than its original incarnation and will also feature a multi-player option. At its height, the initial version raked in approximately USD$50,000 a day for its developer, however Dong pulled the game from stores in February after the sudden attention from fans and media became too much.
