Horse Race track to be built in Binh Phuoc
Binh Phuoc province is preparing to build the country’s only horse race track as part of a USD $100 million recreation complex project. The project will develop 247 acres in the southern province, which is located 104 kilometres northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. A license has not yet been issued, but construction is slated to take place in Chon Thanh District along National Highway 13 and will include the horse race track, villas, shopping malls, healthcare centers and venues for other sports. The new horse track will ultimately replace the Ho Chi Minh City Phu Tho horse race track – built in 1932 and replaced by a sports complex in 2011 – as the country’s only equestrian track.
