Multi-billon dollar seaport gets green light

Plans for a multi-billion dollar seaport in the south of Vietnam have been given the go ahead by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. The $2.5 billion investment project of Hon Khoai Seaport will be located northwest of the cape of Ca Mau, the southernmost point of Viet Nam. Once completed, the seaport will have the capacity to accommodate the largest vessels used for commercial activities around the world. The proposals say 85 percent of Hon Khoai will be funded with foreign investment while the rest will come from from Vietnamese-owned Cong Ly Company, according to Vietnam News.
