Renaissance International School in District 7 is offering merit-based scholarships for their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma to expat families in Ho Chi Minh City.

The IB Diploma programme, for students in their final years of high school, is highly regarded by universities around the globe.

The programme is designed to give students an excellent breadth and depth of knowledge, allow them to flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically, and study at least two languages.

Scholarships Announced by Renaissance International SchoolRenaissance is offering the scholarships as part of its mission to become the leading hub for academic excellence in Ho Chi Minh City.

The two-year scholarships, ranging from 10% to 100% of tuition fees for Year 12 and Year 13 of the IB Diploma Programme, will be available to qualified expat applicants from the 2018/19 academic year.

Renaissance’s graduates have scored an average 32-34 points in the IB Diploma results over the past 11 years.

The school believes the IB Diploma Programme is the best course in the world to prepare students for tertiary study and the world of work. The IB is based on no particular national education system and is a balance between breadth and specialisation, allowing students the skills they need to live and work in an international context.

Scholarships Announced by Renaissance International SchoolRenaissance was opened by Prince Andrew, Duke of York, in 2007. Since then it has formed a particular focus on economics, business and art.

The school has a dedicated IB common room for its Diploma Programme students, and organises regular field trips, study residentials, and conferences for its senior students. Students also do meaningful charity work as part of the IB programme.

Renaissance is the only school in Vietnam that is a member of Round Square, a global network of innovative schools that share a passion for experiential learning and character education. The Round Square approach is built around six ideals of learning: internationalism; democracy; environmentalism; adventure leadership; and service.
