Second annual sandcastle competition set for Da Nang
The second annual Go-Pro sponsored sandcastle competition will be held on My Khe beach in Da Nang on 28 July, SilverSun Event, the competition’s official organsier, has announced. Competitors will have to use their creativity to build not only sandcastles, but any structure made from sculptured sand. The first sandcastle competition was held in Da Nang in 2012, with 70 teams and thousands of spectators from Vietnam and abroad in attendance. The international competitors were from the US, Japan, England, France, New Zealand and Australia. This year’s competition is expected to be much bigger, with many more competitors and even more spectators.
Regulations and registration:
Teams must be between two and four people to each project station, with each station approximately 5 metres long. The competition will run from 7-11am, followed by judging, awards and prizes from 12-12.30pm. Participants can register online starting now at Silversuneventsvn.com.
