Stem cell treatment cures man’s paralysis
Hanoi’s Vinmec International Hospital has successfully cured a local man’s paralysis through stem cell treatments. Fifty-year-old Dao Cong T. of Haiphong suffered a spinal injury that had left him unable to move his arms and legs. Other hospitals offered physical therapy to treat the man’s injuries, however this approach was unsuccessful. Instead, doctors at Vinmec injected stem cells into his veins, assisting the man’s body in healing and generating new cells. Now, one month after the treatment, Dao Cong T. is able to sit up, turn his body and hold objects in his hands.
