On the 9th of April, 2015 Quán Ụt Ụt will host the second ever craft beer tasting event in Vietnam.
The event will showcase the diversity of craft beer with 11 carefully selected brews ranging from blonde, smoked chili ale, brown ale, cream ale, and of course the pale ale and India pale ale (IPA). Each beer is paired with Quán Ụt Ụt’s unique style of barbecue to compliment and highlight different characteristcs of the beer styles.
Beer from the Ninkasi (Oregon, USA), Anderson Valley (California, USA), Prairie (Oklahoma, USA), Rogue (Oregon, USA) and Nippon (Tokyo, JPN) breweries will be features alongside Quán Ụt Ụt’s very own house brews. It will be the first time most of these beers will have ever appeared in Vietnam.
The gradual introduction of a craft beer culture has been at the forefront of the Quán Ụt Ụt’s experience since opening a year ago, and kicked off an American style craft beer revolution – albeit on a small scale – to a variety-starved market. This tasting is part of a series of teasers for the launch of a real craft beer scene in the coming few months with Zebrafish taking the lead on the importation and distribution. Tasters will be led through the experience to fully appreciate the subtleties and nuances of the world’s best beverages, all the way fed awesome samplings from Quán Ụt Ụt’s smoker including the infamous Sticky Pork Tail, Habanero Smoked Mozzarella and a Beer Caramel dessert.
