Vietnam Airlines will own world’s most advanced aircraft
Vietnam Airlines is expected to receive the world’s most advanced commercial aircraft, the USD $340 million Airbus 350 XWB, in June 2015. Vietnam Airlines is the second airline in the world to own it, after Qatar Airways. The Airbus 350 XWB twin-engine jetliner stands out in the market for its size, range, revenue and passenger comfort. Among its advanced features, the jetliner saves up to 25 percent of fuel and support for wi-fi. To ensure high performance and durability, it underwent testing in hot and cold environments for 14 months at Florida’s US Englin Air Force Base. Vietnam Arilines has ordered 10 of the jetliners. It will begin operating the first one in the third quarter of next year with direct air routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to France and other European countries.
