Yet More Awards and Accolades for Shutta
Every time we hear the name Shutta in the news these days it’s something positive. Picking up awards, heading highlight campaigns, and growing their own, and others’, brand, social media and internet presence. Last year they promoted the Kite Tour Asia X-Champs event held in Mui Ne, here in Vietnam. Their Shutta “Mission” promotion generated an incredible 50% click-through rate on the campaign, driving true, qualified traffic onto the KTA’s own social media platforms, where they achieved an even higher click-through rate of 88%.
This year the event was held in Hua Hin, Thailand. The ‘Moose Cider 2017 Asian TTR Kiteboarding Championships & KTA Freestyle X’ took place at the Evason Hua Hin resort, a truly world class kitesurfing venue. Shutta promoted one of their Missions called “Rise Up”, encouraging unique thought and camera skills when shooting kiteboarding footage. “Zig while others zag, rise up to the sky and leave your comfort zone behind”. As usual the response from their app’s now 1million+ followers was huge. The eventual winner will receive one of the latest Cabrinha 2017 Switchblade kites! Once again Shutta’s involvement resulted in 87% engagement on KTA’s social media platforms with Shutta gaining an impressive 56% CTR on their end.
As if all this wasn’t enough, Shutta founder, Barbara Ximenez, was also back in the news, collecting yet another prestigious award. This time she was named as one of the recipients in the inaugural Women Icons Summit & Awards in Singapore. This important event, held at the world famous Raffles Hotel, honoured accomplishments and contributions of women, not just in business but also in different aspects of modern life. Barbara has had a successful career for 25 years in everything from IT to food science. Since co-founding Shutta with James Shimell the company has gone from strength to strength and Barbara’s standing, especially in the Asian business community, has soared.
This award is the third in the last 12 months and Barbara Ximenez is now truly established as one of the leading businesswomen in Asia. As Vishwesh Iyer, Managing Partner & Director of BERG Singapore commented “The Women Icons Summit & Awards is part of an initiative to hold an ongoing dialogue with women achievers and the response was very encouraging. Women leaders from diverse sectors such as healthcare, marketing & communications, IT, startups, education, HR representing India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia & Vietnam came together to share experiences at this global stage.” It’s good to see a Saigon start-up featured yet again.
Shutta, with good strong leadership, is becoming one of the most successful start-ups in Southeast Asia. The app is used by millions and their strong social media following has adherents in all corners of the world.
